Compass Box Canvas Scotch Whisky Limited Edition
An elegant whisky with a citrus-forward flair, Compass Box Canvas is made with a blend of whiskies, including a parcel of Tomatin that has been re-racked into Vino Naranja barrels from Andalucia, Spain – and orange wine, usually made with a mix of Pedro Ximenex and Palomino grapes in which orange peels are macerated. – as well as whiskies matured in bourbon barrels and refill hogsheads.
Canvas focuses on the generous sweetness of whiskies aged in American oak barrels. However, to complete our composition, we turned to an experimental parcel of single malt re-racked into Spanish orange wine casks for three years. A whisky that is bright, bold and delicious.
TASTING NOTES
The gloriously waxy and citrusy nose is followed by forest honey and vanilla shortbread notes on the palate. Flavours of nutmeg, cardamom and chocolate intertwine in the long-lasting finish
