Description
Tenuta Santa Maria Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2019
Old Valpolicella/Soave family dating back to the 1500s producing Valpolicella of a rare quality. The grapes are low-yielding Corvina (75%), Corvinone (15%), and Rondinella (10%), aged in large oak barrels for 14 months. The result is a quietly serious wine that’s bright and floral on the nose with aromas of red cherries and strawberries followed by a great balance between fresh acidty and a gripping tannin structure. Best Valpolicella we’ve had in some time.
